Hi friends,
What a
hectic week! I kept traveling between West Midlands and Warwickshire.
On Tuesday,
there was a professional training course jointly organised by my company and one of
the big four accounting firms, E. It was held here.
In these
days, lots of country hotels are converting them to conference venuse and host
corporate training and seminars. It normally comes with unlimited supply of
coffee and biscuits. Hurrah!
It was a beautiful
day. Daffodils are still with us, even though it is approaching May.
It is evident
that we are having coldest spring this year. I was planning to visit my ex-colleagues in
Oxfordshire and see blue bells together this weekend but we had to postpone it
due to the delay of the flowers. It looks like all flowers are late by 1 month
and in fact, I am typing this in front of a convector heater on 27th April! Still very cold
in the morning here.
However, it
is getting brighter and we occasionally get sunny days. When the spring sun
shines, English countryside becomes just glorious.
The year's at the spring,
And day's at the morn;
Morning's at seven;
The hill-side's dew-pearl'd;
The lark's on the wing;
The snail's on the thorn;
God's in His heaven--
All's right with the world!
And day's at the morn;
Morning's at seven;
The hill-side's dew-pearl'd;
The lark's on the wing;
The snail's on the thorn;
God's in His heaven--
All's right with the world!
(Robert Browning)
