A woman should be something, anything but something special

Hi friends

I have been listening to Die Zauberflöte (the Magic Flute) as BGM whilst doing some revision. Mozart is one of the easiest music to my ears and great stimuli for my brain.

It is said that the aria of the Queen of the Night is the most difficult one as it requires a soprano to sing four F6s. She also has to sing eight high Ds and thirty high Cs. How torturous!

People said that Maria Callas’ Queen of the Night is the best in the history but her voice is too noble and clean to me. This is the aria of vengeance, so it should sound more desperate and mad.

French soprano Natalie Dassay and Korean Jo Sumi are always the popular choice, but my best is definitely the German diva, Diana Damrau. Diana Damrau‘s queen is overwhelming, so dramatic and powerful.

She had been very successful and blessed with this aria but even she had to give up in 2008. I was lucky enough to see her performance in Covent Garden. I had goose bumps when I saw her performance. It was simply divine.

She is a couple of years younger than me but that presence is quite something. I absolutely admire her talent, beauty, and charisma. Click the link below, friends. She is the diva of our time and inspiration to all ladies in her 40s and plus.
