Lunch à la Morrison's

Hi friends

Are you shocked that I am talking about Morrison’s? Yes, normally, I am a snotty Waitrose shopper but I can’t resist anything “new”, can I?

There is new Morrison’s supermarket very near Sainsbury’s in Leamington Shire Retail Park. Friends, I can highly recommend Morrison’s if you have already fallen into our “monthly-poverty-before-the-pay-day”. Their price is absolutely fascinating.

Italian ham with herb £1.50 and a block of cheese £1.44.

Foccacia with mixed olives £1.

Ginger Beer £1.50.

Although their selection of the products is not as exotic as Waitrose, if you need general stuff, they are just fine.
Anyway, this is today’s lunch.
The vegetable & prawn creamy stew contains onion, sweet corn, potatoes, carrots, broccoli, shimeji mushroom. It nicely clears “5 in a day”.

I used soya milk for this.

I love olives now, but I used to hate them. They are certainly acquired tastes, aren’t they?
The focaccia can be dry when it is warmed up in the oven. Wrapping them loosely with cooking foil did a good job.

Hummmm….I must admit, I am impressed with Morrison’s. I will definitely go again.
