Don't drink plastic green tea

Hi friends,

It could be because of our age, but quite few of friends and colleagues asked me about green tea in a relatively short period. It can definitely be part of healthy diet but it will not miraculously heal your problems. To me, it is dietary habit which dictates your health including stability of your mental health (mood swing), and ultimately, the way of living and also thinking.

Some scientists highlighted the benefits of drinking green tea on a regular basis. However, it does not mean, you will be free from the risk of developing cancer. Look at Japan. Japanese live longer than anyone in the world, despite the stressful workaholic life over there. They consume more green tea than any other country in the world, but they also die of cancer, too.

However, one notable thing about Japanese women is, the rate of breast cancer is surprisingly low comparing with women in other developed countries.
I would not jump onto the conclusion. It should have multiple reasons, off course.

All I can say is, it is worth adopting in your daily diet but do not buy cheap tea bags which call themselves green tea but it looks like horrible yellowie brown and taste chemical or plastic.

It annoys me whenever people who never tried real things make comment on that. 8 out of 10 of them think they are controlling the calorie intake by drinking Diet Coke, and trust me, they have no taste buds.

Friends, just some advice if you are thinking about green tea as part of your diet. Always use filtered water, as hard water ruins the colour and taste. Do not use hot water to brew. It should be 60 – 80 ̊C, depends on the leaves and blend. Never drink it when it becomes brown.

Fresh green tea.

Left for few hours.

When it becomes brown, it means the good bits are dead. It won’t give you the benefits scientists highlighted.

For the benefits of green tea, please refer to my old article in April.

Thanks for reading and wishing you a lovely day.
