Body PH Fixing Dinner

Hi friends

Grocery shopping for the week.
It became more expensive than usual with 2 meats, chicken and pork mince.

I am a high carbohydrate person. I can’t do low carb diet but I am careful with Body PH. Maintaining Body PH in slightly alkaline always helps. It helps digestive system, circulation system, nerve system, immune system etc. Also, it maintains good skin condition and supports my anti-aging policy well.

When feeling tired or your skin looks dull, it normally means the Body PH has gone acidic. My quick fix is, to use vinegar in cooking.

Dinner – Sweet & Sour Chicken in Juno style with Edamame Rice, Enoki Mushroom & Egg soup, and Salads
I don’t use ready-made salad dressing. Instead, I use aged balsamic vinegar. Also, I cannot stand ready-made sweet and sour sauce. They are sickeningly sweet and full of the dodgy ingredients which age us. Don’t touch it!

Instead, make one with soy sauce, rice vinegar , brown sugar, white wine and ketchup. Very easy and the result is guaranteed.

Shopping at TK Maxx

Hi friends,

Went to TK Maxx. They are my investment for Summer in 2013. (If summer comes to England….)

Silver & pink beige sandals. They are so sexy yet comfortable.

Silk 100% print tunic. I love the style around neck and the unusual pattern - they're owls.

I call them value for money shopping. Hurrah!

Time to change

Hi friends

I recently bought a hair drier, as my old one became so dead after years of service. It is only £14.99 but do a good job. I should have had this earlier.

When a thing you used to have around is broken or your situation changes out of the blue, there is a message we should be aware. “Time to change.”

It is just a hair drier this time, but few years ago, everything  around me started breaking down such as a car, a laptop, a kettle….. things I use every day.
When I think back, I believe it was my big time to change. Those things were remains from the past.

I recently gave up my favourite black dress as it reminded me of someone whenever I saw it. I stopped wearing it since the last time I saw that person.

Whether we hang around with old obsessions or move on and get something new and better, it is up to us.

However friends, be alert. Be very assertive. When your life is telling you something, we get those funny signs. It normally works better to go with flows rather than against it. If you resist, you will learn a lesson in a much harder way and it will be harder and harder until you get it.

If something or someone is leaving you, let them go. If something is changing, let them.
If you don’t, you will get hurt not only by that person or the change, but also by your life. Release your obsession. Let them go. And always remember, you deserve better.

Damn it. It was a beautiful dress!!!

The Cross in Kenilworth

Hi friends

At last, I finished exams and it is time for me to get my life back!

To start with, I had wonderful lunch with equally wonderful people at my favourite venue.
The Cross in Kenilworth.

Unfortunately, I completely forgot to take photos of the foods! I noticed after I finished after dinner coffee.  It was lovely, well-presented and reasonably priced as well. I am going there again on Thursday. Will get some photos of foods next time.

Thank you, A & A. You both are great inspiration to me and I always enjoy your company.

Korean Miracle

Hi friends,

By pure chance, I found this on YouTube. This show was on air in 2011 in Korea, so you may have already seen or heard about him on the news.

A homeless boy turned up at the talent show called Korea’s Got Talent – yeah, it is a Korean version of Britain’s Got Talent. Although they have no taste in naming, I must admit, they certainly have a lot of talent over there.

This young man has absolutely incredible talent. He was left at an orphanage at the age of three. After running away from there at 5, he had supported himself all by himself. One day, he heard a singer singing at a night club. Since then, music was only his friend.

Friends, get a box of Kleenex and click the link below.

I felt so humble after watching his performance.

This boy convinced me that the old words are still active and so very true....

Breakfast and Lunch (as usual)

Hi friends,

My usual subject. Breakfast and lunch.

Breakfast.

Someone commented on my way of arranging foods. Here’s one of the tips I use. Wrapping sandwich with cling film and then cut. Simple but it works well.

Lunch.

I am going out this evening for dinner. I shouldn’t actually, as I have to do revision and starve myself for tomorrow’s health check.

However, my policy is, never turn down the offer of a good meal and an excellent company.  ;-)
I am sure I will see the consequence of this good time in my body fat tomorrow..…….

Please enjoy yourself in the rest of the weekend. See you soon. xxx

Presie!

Hi friends,

Just a note to say thank you.

What can I say? You made me smile.

God bless you all. Once again, thank you. XXX

Miracle Worker

Hi friends

Hope you are enjoying sunshine. After the bank holiday weekend, I noticed quite few of my colleagues came back to the office with nice sun tan being pink, orange and red. I don’t want to be a spoilsport, but ladies, take good care of your skins. They will come back to you as aging spots after you hit your 40th birthday.

I had a delightful visit today.
A fabulous French lady who is so good at making me laugh gave me a little box with a message on the wrapping paper. A black incense stick was attached to the box. Is it contemporary style of decorating a gift in France?

The message on the box was “Before the Exam”
It made me laugh.  OK, I got it.  I will calm down inhaling the relaxing scent.
Guess what was inside of the box?
Ginko tablets to improve memory and concentration!

Then, she gave me this with a label saying “During the Exam”.
The exam I am taking is non-stop 3 hours writing. Yes, I need a sugar fix.

And this came with a message “After the Exam!”
Eye cream called Miracle Worker!! Yes, I will definitely need miracle to restore myself after sleepless nights.

How hilarious and what a great way of conveying best wishes!

All messages received and understood. You are the miracle worker to me, being so spot on all the time.
Thank you. xxx

Simply Glorious

Hi friends

It has been a bank holiday weekend in England. I love living In South Warwickshire but it can be a pain when you get stuck in traffic for 20 minutes for the sake of a carton of milk. Being so close to Stratford-upon-Avon and Cotswold villages, I had a series of lessons learnt and decided to stay away from those directions. Instead, I did bit of walking with a friend around my cottage.

The woods around this area are simply glorious in May.

Blue Bells! They are the symbol of English spring to me.

Can you see sheep and lamb?

It had been so sunny.

This means lots of UV and also means an old woman like me needs good care in the evening.....

Good night friends. Wishing you lovely spring days. xxx

Let me think what she is wearing.....Black?

Hi friends

Guess what I was wearing last week and the week before?
I am wearing black all the time.

Life is too short. I decided it is about time for me to get out from undertakers’ uniform and enjoy some other colours.

In Feng Shui, black is the colour of dead. It won’t lead you anywhere. So, my dear friends, if you feel your life is slowing down, sluggish, or simply need a booster, why not wearing something “not-black” to reactivate you? .

Each colour has psychological effect, so do not underestimate the power of colours.

These are what I had been wearing.

And these, too.

With these, I had 7 black jackets!

I will keep the last 3 and the rest will go to a local charity shop.

Time for me to move on. Move forward and upward.

Sleeping Angel

Hi friends

Someone sent me a little angel for my birthday.  Thank you...xxx

Curry Night

Hi friends

I went out for curry with my colleagues.
RB (my health check pal became my son being only half of my age) allowed me to park my car in front of his house and another colleague VE kindly agreed to pick us up from there.

Whilst we were waiting for him, RB made a cup of tea for me and some dodgy mix of liqueur and spirits for himself. The colour is nice though.

Then, this is his experiment. He wanted to make blue tea but this is GREY, isn’t it?

There were 7 of us, all from the same office. When the colleagues get together, you know what sort of things we talk about. Who is the prettiest girl, who is hot who is not, who is the office weirdo….

Food was good as well. Can’t complain.

This bowl came to the table after we finished the dinner. Look like mints, don’t they?

Nope. They are actually hand towels.

Last time, we thought they were mints and nearly ate them…….

Good food, good company, and good time.

L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil

Hi friends

It was a good day today. Nothing special but I just feel good after laughing a lot with good old engineers at work. They tease me all the time but I like being with them. They are good laugh.

In my company, there are some internal driving permits we must hold to drive company cars. I was trying to get one of them and reading the instruction on the application form.

“I have to attach medical certificate to this application”
“What the hell is that?”

Asked one of the engineering colleagues.

“Don’t know. Oh, how about this? Do you think I can attach this to my application? It says my blood pressure and heart beat are in the green zone.”

I showed him my Monday Health Check result. (That body fat thing.)

“Yeah, but your application will be rejected for being fat.”

Charming!!!

Anyway, I went to Boots after work to buy Shampoo, Conditioner and Hair Oil. Ladies, if you have got dry frizzy hair like me, I recommend this to you.

L’Oreal Extraordinary Hair Oil. My fantastic friend AM gave me a bottle in March. This oil is simply amazing. By the time I finished the half of the bottle, some people commented that my hair looks healthier and softer. I had never received such comments on my hair before.

After washing hair, I apply this oil, comb the hair. Then I wear a plastic shower cap and cook breakfast. I look so ridiculous wearing a shower cap in the kitchen but by the time I finish my breakfast, the oil is well absorbed in my hair and it feels soft.

This hair oil is £10. Nearly as much as the foods I bought yesterday but it is worth every penny and the result is literally extraordinary.
